Abstract
⺠Simulated annealing is used to estimate the range of possible trishear models that can fit a fault-propagation fold. ⺠The method shows that even complete datasets with low uncertainties can have more than one possible best-fit model. ⺠The spread of possible models is influenced by data completeness and uncertainty, fold evolution, and rock properties. ⺠Holistic approach to model fault-propagation folds and acknowledge uncertainty in these structures.
