Abstract
⺠CAGIS is a new method for quantifying climate and vegetation density. ⺠It is applicable to biased fossil plant assemblages from archaeological sites. ⺠At Sibudu, the most pronounced changes were changes in winter temperatures. ⺠Winter temperatures seem to have the most important influence on ecological changes. ⺠Changes in precipitation seem to be driven by changes in summer precipitation.
