Abstract
► Previous workers have suggested Holocene glacier history on Mt Baker was anomalous. ► We show that glacier fluctuations were similar to those elsewhere in the region. ► Glaciers advanced during the Younger Dryas and receded in the early Holocene. ► Neoglaciation began ca 6 ka and glaciers advanced to successively greater limits. ► Maximum Holocene extents were reached in the Little Ice Age in the 1800s.
