Abstract
⺠Paleodepth reconstructions based on microendolith and coralgal assemblages in Quaternary reefs from New Caledonia. ⺠Microendoliths provide better accuracy than coralgal assemblages especially in the 0-10 m bathymetric range. ⺠Evidence for rapid environmental changes and small sea-level variations of about 2-5 m ⺠Evidence of a shallowing-upward trend corresponding to a catch-up reef growth during Holocene. ⺠A paleodepth envelope based on microendolith assemblage analysis proposed for Kendec Holocene reef.
