Abstract
The problem of correllating the Holsteinian Interglacial with the Marine Isotope Stage (MIS) is still disputed. Generally, a view persists that this interglacial should be linked with MIS 11, although this approach has many adversaries. Palynologic and geochemical data from well preserved fossil lake deposits from the Holsteinian Interglacial in eastern Poland have enabled their correlation with MIS 11.
