⺠High-resolution tomography under SW Japan forearc and back-arc is determined. ⺠Suboceanic earthquakes are relocated precisely using sP depth phases. ⺠Structural heterogeneity affects seismogenesis of the megathrust zone. ⺠Subducted seamounts and ridges may form asperities in the megathrust zone.
