Abstract
⺠We numerically simulate planetary dynamos with conducting and insulating inner cores. ⺠Inner core conductivity influences field morphology and reversal frequencies. ⺠Combinations of thermal boundaries and Rayleigh number determine the influence. ⺠Strong planetary magnetic field intensity does not imply strong field dynamo.
