Abstract
► Anisotropic thermal diffusion follows Braginsky and Meytlis (1990) picture. ► Three dimensional anisotropic thermal diffusion model in a conducting, rotating sphere. ► Increasing diffusion parallel to the rotation axis, transverse fixed, is stabilizing. ► Decreasing diffusion transverse to the rotation axis, parallel fixed, is destabilizing. ► Anisotropy is destabilizing if total diffusion measured by the Frobenius norm is fixed.
