Abstract
⺠Anisotropic thermal diffusion follows Braginsky and Meytlis (1990) picture. ⺠Three dimensional anisotropic thermal diffusion model in a conducting, rotating sphere. ⺠Increasing diffusion parallel to the rotation axis, transverse fixed, is stabilizing. ⺠Decreasing diffusion transverse to the rotation axis, parallel fixed, is destabilizing. ⺠Anisotropy is destabilizing if total diffusion measured by the Frobenius norm is fixed.
