Abstract
⺠Localized convective structures exist in temperature-dependent viscosity fluids. ⺠They consist of a circular dome with an upwelling at the center. ⺠These structures are stable below the critical Rayleigh number. ⺠They can form on Earth and planets in regions with near-critical conditions.
