Abstract
⺠We report on a paleomagnetic/dating study of 3 lava flows from Tenerife. ⺠The combined K/Ar - 40Ar/39Ar ages are rather similar and range from 32.0 to 33.2 ka. ⺠Paleomagnetic directions deviate from the axial geocentric dipole (GAD) field. ⺠The paleointensity values are about 20% lower than the present value. ⺠First radiometric dated record of the MLE from the northern hemisphere.
