Abstract
Empirical correlations were proposed to predict the thermal conductivity and the specific heat capacity of granite as a function of porosity and water content. Thermal conductivity was described using a modified geometric mean model, and the specific heat capacity was estimated by a series model. The correlations can predict the thermal conductivity and specific heat capacity of granite with estimated errors below 10% and 5%, respectively. Thermal diffusivities can be calculated from the correlations for thermal conductivity and specific heat capacity.
