Abstract
Several new archaeocyaths are described from the lower Cambrian Xiannudong Formation of Fucheng, Shaanxi Province, and from the lower Cambrian Mingxisi Formation of Meitan, Guizhou Province (South China). One new genus (Qinlingocyathus nov. gen.) and four new species (Qinlingocyathus astomus nov. gen., nov. sp., Gandinocyathus pinguis nov. sp., Thalamocyathus mui nov. sp., and Dailycyathus aporosus nov. sp.) are erected. These discoveries greatly expand our knowledge of the morphology of key archaeocyathan taxa and of the diversity of early Cambrian archaeocyathan faunas of the Yangtze Platform.
