Abstract
⺠We describe Cretaceous charcoalified angiosperm woods from Georgia, USA. ⺠Seven types with scalariform perforation plates are documented. ⺠Orders probably include Magnoliales, Cornales, Ericales, and Malpighiales. ⺠However, none of the fossils can be assigned to extant families. ⺠Some specimens show character-combinations not seen in any extant woods.
