Abstract
⺠New bamboo fossil wood from the Plio-Pleistocene of Argentina ⺠The culm or aerial vegetative axis fossil has one node and one incomplete internode. ⺠Guadua morronei sp. nov. is woody with node and internode solid. ⺠Fossil bamboo revealed a great affinity with the extant Guadua paraguayana. ⺠This new record provides new information about the past of the bamboo group.
