Abstract
⺠Testate amoebae are widely used as NPPs but this use is limited by lack of taxonomic knowledge. ⺠Most testate amoebae are lost in palynology but trends for surviving taxa are similar. ⺠Testate amoebae may be a useful component of multiproxy NPP studies.
