Abstract

âº Mina Esquirol is a new Late Cretaceous locality bearing angiosperm seeds. âº The seeds described belong to a new genus and species, Bergacarpon viladricii. âº The seeds may correspond to a Monocot, probably a commelinid. âº One of the oldest monotypical angiosperm seed accumulations in the fossil record.
