Abstract
► Mina Esquirol is a new Late Cretaceous locality bearing angiosperm seeds. ► The seeds described belong to a new genus and species, Bergacarpon viladricii. ► The seeds may correspond to a Monocot, probably a commelinid. ► One of the oldest monotypical angiosperm seed accumulations in the fossil record.
