Abstract
⺠The plant macroremains from Ramblian?-lower Aragonian age of La Rinconada mine (Spain) are studied.. ⺠We have identified a total of 31 species of vascular plants. ⺠An azonal broadleaved deciduous forest with some evergreen and coniferous taxa was predominant. ⺠Alnus adscendens and Acer vindobonense have been identified in sediments of the Early Miocene age. ⺠Similar vegetation has been found in the Lower Miocene of Central Europe and Turkey.
