Abstract
The isomerization of n-heptane was studied over highly dispersed Pt/Silicalite-1 catalysts, and significantly higher n-heptane conversion and isomerization selectivity were achieved when compared with Pt/SiO2 catalysts. The outstanding performance of Pt/Silicalite-1 catalysts was attributed to the high dispersion of Pt on Silicalite-1, the strong interaction between Pt nanoparticles and Silicalite-1, and the stronger n-heptane adsorption capacity on the catalysts.
