Abstract
We report a facile synthesis method of ultrasmall Au/unmodified graphene nanocomposite, in which acetylene functions as both a reducing agent and precursor to the Au surface capping agent. Its activity in hydrogenation of halogenated nitrobenzene and the deactivation mechanism in the presence of O2 were also investigated.
