Abstract
- Population data on a large sample of Malaysian juveniles utilized to develop a new method of dental age estimation.
- Multi-Layer Perceptron - Artificial Neural Network (MLP-ANN) Analysis has been used to develop population specific maturity scores.
- Strong correlation was observed between the chronological and dental age for Malay boys and girls.
- The new method offers accurate estimation of age of Malay juveniles that could be employed in both clinical and forensic applications.
