Abstract
Three new metal-free carbazole based dyes with D-D-Ï-A architecture (D1-3) were successfully designed, synthesized and characterized as potential sensitizers/co-sensitizers. Amongst the tested dyes, D1 as sensitizer displayed the highest photovoltaic performance in DSSCs. The dye D3 as co-sensitizer in DSSCs showcased improved PCE than NCSU-10 alone.204
