Abstract
New BODIPYs/aza-BODIPYs with a methylthio group were prepared. Introduction of a -SMe group could reduce the quantum yield, red-shift spectra, and oxidation of thioether into sulfoxide by NaClO can restore the quantum yield and blue-shift spectra.146
