Abstract
A dithieno[3,2-b:2′,3'-d]pyrrole (DTP)-based derivative has been synthesized by introducing a twisted triphenylamine (TPA) unit to the rigid conjugated DTP core. This compound exhibits reversible mechanochromic luminescence and near-infrared electrochromic switching behaviors in solid state and solution, respectively.
