Abstract
A new diarylethene dimer, with triphenylamine as redox centers, separated by 1,3-butadiynyl has been designed and prepared (see scheme). The dimer exhibited stepwise photochromic reactions by extending irradiation time with UV light, thus successfully achieve photoswitchable charge delocalization and two terminals electronic communication.
