Abstract
Drugs for the drug-resistant bacterial strains constitute one of the most essential challenges for medicine now-a-days. Seven derivatives of thiadiazolo[2â²,3â²:2,3]imidazo [4,5-b]quinoxalines were synthesized for potential antimicrobial agents. The structures of the compounds were established by IR, 1H NMR, mass spectral and elemental analysis. The anti-microbial evaluation of the newly synthesized products against a broad spectrum of bacteria was performed using the disc diffusion technique and the agar streak dilution method. All the synthesized compounds had shown good inhibitory effect.
