Involuntary admission and treatment experiences of persons with schizophrenia: Implication for the Mental Health Care Bill 2016

Perceived coercion in schizophrenia though common clinical phenomena, it is a dynamic state which reduces over course of treatment. At Discharge, majority reported that their admission was justified, even though they were admitted involuntarily. The study underlines the need for a standardized rule of conduct based coercive practice in psychiatry.
