Abstract
Comparison of XRD patterns for samples treated with/without effluent gas. An attempt has been made to carryout experiments for the abatement of fluorides using fluidized bed reactor (FBR). Different bed materials are used as bed materials in the FBR. Bed materials are characterised by several analytical tools before and after each experiment to check the presence of metallic fluorides in the bed material which in turn confirm the occurrence of reactions among gaseous fluoride component (from industrial gaseous effluent) with the solid metallic components of bed materials. Thus abatement of fluoride concentration in industrial gaseous effluent is determined by indirect measurement with the fluidized bed technology.
