Abstract
This paper focussed on our efforts to investigate the use of single pass tangential flow filtration (SPTFF) as an inline concentration step for cell culture harvest. This work examined the several challenges that are present while concentrating cell culture harvest with the important aim of debottlenecking during biologics manufacturing. Experiments demonstrated a 10Ã volume reduction factor possible using an adsorptive filtration technology in the clarification stage for recovery of biological products. With the optimal method to tackle the challenge of variability and instability, it was possible to couple primary and secondary clarification with inline concnetration.165
