Abstract
In this paper the determination of surface free energy (SFE) of glass fibers made from jarosite waste by using contact angle (CA) measurements is presented. Contact angles of glass fibers against water, formamide and diiodomethane have been measured in order to estimate the surface tensions using Owens-Wendt-Rabel-Kaelble, Wu and Acid-Base model. The surface tension of the samples showed that the material can be used as reinforcement for polymer matrix.
