Abstract
This paper presents the concept of auto-tuned control system with modified Smith Predictor that can be used as an effective dead-time compensator. For better disturbance rejection capability the system is equipped with an additional feedback loop and is extended to cascade structure. Several tuning rules for the master controller are presented.
