Abstract
Reliable and precise measurement is critical to successful performance of closed loop system. In case when this condition is not fulfilled development of suitable monitoring tools for the existing system is needed. Independent component analysis is developing and is a promising area of research. This method helps in diagnosing the underlying causes for changesin the performance of the control system. The aim of this paper is deseription of simple automatedperformance monitor with compensation of measurement faults based on Chi-square goodness-of-fit test. Monitor is assumed to be applicable in industrial controllers or monitoring systems, hence it should he computationally simple. Monitor detects statistically improper process conditions and adjusts controllcr set point.
