Abstract
⺠We develop a model of piston air motor system and analyze the behaviors of a ball screw table. ⺠The contribution is to combine backstepping design and fuzzy logics for accurate performance. ⺠The fuzzy logics were developed to modify one of the backstepping controller variables. ⺠The hybrid controller would keep a better transient response and decrease chattering. ⺠The experimental results validate the proposed position control strategy.
