Abstract
⺠We present a new self-sensing actuation scheme for vibration control of piezoelectric actuators. ⺠We use op-amps as high-pass filters for higher bandwidth and SNR at nanometer resolution. ⺠We design an adaptive non-model-based control to compensate for vibrations using strain signals. ⺠We implement the proposed scheme on a PZT-actuated suspension of a commercial dual-stage HDD. ⺠Improvements of 50% and 75% in the vibration suppression at 5.4 kHz and 21 kHz are achieved.
