Abstract
Diethylenetriamine-modified macroporous P (GMA–DVB–TRIM) microspheres were used to support palladium (0) nanoparticles applied as a new reusable catalyst for Heck cross-coupling reactions. It shows excellent activity in Heck coupling reactions without an inert atmosphere. The novel macroporous catalyst can be reused at least five times without significant loss of its catalytic activity.
► Pd catalyst immobilized on macroporous P (GMA–DVB–TRIM) microspheres. ► An efficient and recyclable Pd catalyst for the Heck reactions. ► High activity due to surface area and strong coordination between Pd and N. ► The supported catalyst can be reused for five runs without significant loss.
