Abstract
- The fracture toughness of the octet lattice varies between KJIC=2-14MPam1/2.
- KJIC increased linearly with relative density and square root of the cell size.
- A moderate R-curve effect is seen with crack growth for certain geometries.
- The measured strength is 20-70Â MPa for these 8-19% relative density samples.
- These properties exceed all other engineering materials of similar density.
