Abstract
- The time-dependent behavior of the Beishan granite at different T and stress level is studied.
- Strength degradation is noticed at a constant loading stress lower than the crack damage stress.
- Rock samples are found to fail at a similar axial strain at a given confinement in creep tests.
- The temperature (<90 °C) and stress effect on the critical state to failure is found to be limited.
- The AE event is found to more sensitive to the occurrence of rock failure than the deformation.
