Abstract
Based on the extended Huygens-Fresnel integral, the propagation equation of a Lorentz beam in oceanic turbulence is derived, and the average intensity and spreading of a Lorentz beam propagating in oceanic turbulence have been illustrated by using the numerical examples. The results show that the Lorentz beam propagating in oceanic turbulence will spread faster with the propagation distance increases. And the beam propagating in oceanic turbulence will spread faster with the oceanic turbulence become stronger.
