Abstract
Nowadays dye sensitized solar cells are intensively drove attention by many researchers because of their elegant properties considering their low cost, reasonable efficiency in charge transport and excellent light-harvesting. In this paper TiO2 nanorods were sensitized by a thermal method and then deposited on transparent conductive glass (FTO). This process followed by putting the sample on a dye solution to make solar cells. We have investigated these solar cells efficiency at three different times of reaction. In addition, TiO2 nanoparticles paste which are used in the solar cell as an anode were produced and enhanced cells efficiency were studied as well. Furthermore multiwall carbon nanorods were produce to be exchanged with an expensive platinum cathode. The total efficiency of 1.58% was attained.
