Abstract
Finding the symmetries and invariant solutions of a given fractional differential equation is a hot topic in the field of fractional differentiation and its applications. In this study, a new aspect of prolongation formula for fractional derivative operator presented by Gazizov et al. [1] is derived. Then the Lie symmetries of the steady-state fractional diffusion equations with nonlinear reaction and advection are analyzed and new exact solutions are obtained.
