Abstract
Modeling of two different vertically coupled quadruple micro optical ring resonators (VCQMORRs) are developed in Z-domain. Both the proposed model uses delay line signal processing approach in Z-domain for their modeling and performance analysis. Performance characteristics of the wave-guide based VCQMORR models are compared with regard to free spectral range (FSR), crosstalk, finesse, Q-factor and the fabrication area required for the proposed quadruple microring structures. In association with frequency characteristics; group delay and dispersion graphs are also obtained and presented in the article.
