Abstract
Cesium bismuth molybdate, Cs5Bi(MoO4)4, is synthesized via microwave assisted synthesis (MAS) with doping element Cr or Co. The synthesis procedure is achieved at 850 W powers in a domestic oven for a short time as 15 min, and the materials heated at 800 °C for obtaining best crystallization. The formations of 0.1%, 0.2%, 0.3%, 0.4% and 0.5% of Cr or Co doped Cs5Bi(MoO4)4 compounds were verified by powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) and fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). The unit cell parameters and crystal systems of the products are calculated by Rietveld refinement method via powder X-ray diffraction data. Morphology and elemental composition of the compounds were determined via scanning electron microscopy and energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) analysis. Optical property was determined as luminescence characteristics.
