Abstract
In this paper, an unambiguous tracking technique is proposed for arbitrary order sine-phased binary offset carrier (BOC) modulated signals, which are used in the modernized global navigation satellite systems (GNSS). Firstly, two local auxiliary signals are designed, which correlate with the received BOC signal respectively to form two cross-functions. Then, the two cross-functions are used to obtain a composed correlation function (CCF). The side-peaks are removed completely in the CCF, thus there is only one lock point on the discriminator output. The performances of the proposed technique on noise resistance and multipath mitigation are analyzed and verified. The numerical results show that the proposed technique can remove tracking ambiguity completely and has better noise and short-delay multipath mitigation performance than the conventional techniques.
