Abstract
In the present work, pure and 2M% KCl doped KDP crystals have been grown by S-R method. The grown crystals were characterized by various techniques. X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns of the samples showed that the grown crystals had tetragonal structure. UV-vis. spectroscopy of the crystals revealed that they are transparent in the entire UV and visible region. Fourier Transform Infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy was used to identify the presence of the functional groups in the grown crystals. Laser damage threshold (LDT) analysis showed that the addition of KCl to KDP has increased its resistance against laser energy. Dielectric constant, dielectric loss and ac conductivity measurements were carried out as functions of frequency and temperature.
