Abstract
The transformation of a new kind of Bessel-Gaussian like beams by considering a Bessel- Gaussian beam modulated by Bessel gratings (BGBMBG) through a biaxial crystal by means of the conical refraction phenomenon has been investigated theoretically in this paper. The analytical formulas giving the intensity distribution for a single conically refracted BGBMBG are derived. With the help of numerical simulation, the propagation characteristics of the considered beams in biaxial crystals are given by studying the influence of the parameters of the incident beams as the beam order, the ratio R0/Ï between the radius cylindrical of conical refraction R0 and radius waist beams Ï and the propagation distance Z. Our finding provides to study the conical refraction effect of circularly polarized Gaussian beam through the considered optical system, which is as particular case of the present investigation.
