Abstract
This paper is devoted to mathematical and physical modeling of contactless system for valve status monitoring based on fiber-optical displacement sensors. Block diagram of a system is shown, monitored parameters of valve are defined, the basic equations for the valve status monitoring based on the geometric parameters of the system and sensors readings are provided, the main types of system designs and their advantages and disadvantages are considered.
