Abstract
A vibrational sensor-based optical fiber was recording vibrations that occur in mathematical pendulum as a model of suspension bridge durability sensor. POF fiber optic was used with a diameter of 0,5 mm. The intensity measured by total reflection in the fiber optic reduced due to the loss caused by the bent of fiber optic with critical radius. The resulting signal loss processed using a computer, so that the history of vibration which associated with the condition of the bridge structure could be recorded and the furthure analysis can be apllied as a SHM (Structural Health Monitoring).
