Abstract
The results of long-term studies on the development of artificially created at the biological stage of phytocenosis reclamation in conditions of the Far North are given. It is revealed that self-recovering vegetation is represented by “Matricāria chamomÄ«lla” and “Helichrýsum arenárium” with the projective cover of 3-5% in the third year after the cessation of sand mining perennial grasses provide a weak strengthening effect without application of mineral fertilizers. The reason is the low projective cover (from 5 to 45%) and a weak development of the root system. The recovery method speeds up the development of perennial grasses, projective cover increases to 90-100% and provides a high fastening effect of disturbed soils.
