Abstract
Inspired by a general question about the level of competence of graduate job seekers in Cameroon, our research focuses on the consistency of their curriculum vitae (CV) content (n = 50). The goal is to assess the efficiency of the CV elaborated from criteria suggested by the writing guidelines available for job seekers, especially their ability to get a job interview. Our results show some inconsistency in the CV, represented by the difficulties in formulating skills, and the lack of professional objective (desired job profile). These difficulties suggest a problematic of self-evaluation for these job seekers. The practical implications and research perspectives of this study are discussed.
