Abstract

•D-cycloserine combined with multiple cognitive behavioral therapy sessions effectively stabilize the obsessive-compulsive disorder condition.•The onset times between DCS and CBT were inconsistent.•DCS might have been effective in the initial stages, whereas CBT dominated in the middle and late stages.•Dose timing, human equivalent dose and CBT sessions should be strictly controlled during the DCS treatment.•The number of CBT sessions was negatively correlated with Y-BOCS scores at follow-up with DCS.
