Abstract
â¢Brain electrical activity is measured before literal and metaphorical images.â¢Significant differences are found, especially in the initial stages.â¢Metaphoric images induce more negative amplitudes in early time-windows.â¢Greater relative activity is observed in the right hemisphere in visual metaphors.â¢Parallels can be observed between the processing of visual and verbal metaphors.
